Session 46

Our adventurers found themselves arriving at their long awaited destination, Audemn's capital city of Astrika which presented itself true to it's title: The City at the Center of the World. With merchant and cruise ships flying flags from regions encompassing all corners of the map, tall regal structures from which the coronet shot out like a beacon of hope; a lighthouse to civilization. Those they traveled with made several stops, unloading stir-crazed sailors who hugged their loved ones - or made their way to their favored mainland activities.

The final stop brought out adventurers to a lonely wharf. A stretch of structures alongside a dock told stories of the bustling activity that was once present here. Now long neglected, it was nothing more than a run-down and dusty street of empty boxes, broken signs, and rats.

The adventurers met with their sponsor, Mr. Corrigan, who reviewed the notes of their maritime journey. Some made the cut while others, most notable Sylas, did not. Those who remained were given a week of leave before another meeting with Mr. Corrigan and his associates. With free time on their hands for the first time in weeks, our group took to the wharf and searched for a place to rest.

They entertained ideas of revitalizing the area, first focusing on a potential tavern to use as a home and to attract new patrons and life to the deserted area. Their investigation into this structure proved promising but also gave more questions than answers. As our session came to a close, our group had discovered a hidden passageway build by Peter in his youth to meet in secret with the forbidden love which would become his late wife. It was there that the party met with Tim, a young urchin who had been living in a community of squatters in the vicinity. We ended with a cliffhanger as Tim revealed that his community has been supported by supplies given to them by strangers, not out of charity, but in exchange for information of Mr. Corrigan.

Session 47

Our adventurous party shook the smell of the salty sea by visiting an outfitter in Mid-City District where they were adorned with clothing more appropriate for their new surroundings. The tunics, baggy trousers, and rough boots of Catevandril were replaced with the slimming vests, tailored collared shirts, and pants.

Edward, every the source of aid, had given the party a lead in their self-appointed mission to renovate the wharf: access to Peter’s collection, hidden gems of time-etched history, to be sold at auction.

Their journey too them to the heart of gentrified nobility, Golden-View Heights, an elevated island district notorious for its “noble-by-name” inhabitants and their inherited familial estates. Here they found themselves standing before The Crown and Gavel, an auction house used by such nobles as a place for routine social gatherings and to expand their collections of opulent trinkets. Inside the Master of Sales, Clarence Boone, carried himself will the poise and elegance once might expect from such a purveyor and discussed with Feyre (making used of childhood etiquette classes) a reasonable fee for his services.

Their path then led them to Julian, the squatters reluctant leader. The boy was initially resistant to the party’s prying questions, having been tricked before. However, with gentle coaxing and empathetic conversations, Julian agreed to help them in their investigation into the identity of the man who had been trading them food for information of Mr. Corrigan.

Under the Ubral, the coronet gone with all night from the sky, Julian led them to his secret meeting with the enigmatic Mr. Hand, an encounter that only deepened the parties intrigue. While they were not yet able to capture or follow the figure, they were able to gather a few clues to his identity.

The session ended with the party entering the doorway of Seraphina Blackhawk, an independent detective working in the city. Surrounded by old bounties notices, towers of dusty books, and wadded notes, the youthful detective welcomed them.
